Open Water SCUBA Training

Open Water Scuba Diver course is an entry-level certification course designed to give you the necessary skills to safely conduct open water dives. Some of the many skills you will learn include buoyancy control, proper weighting, marine conservation, equipment assembly, proper dive planning, basic underwater navigation techniques and equipment maintenance. The course covers all the basic knowledge about equipment, physiology and the marine environment while training students to perform basic skills underwater.

There are several things that make the course I teach different from the courses taught by most other instructors - you will be taught how to use a Personal Dive Computer, which will be provided for your course, and you will have an option to complete the academics portion of your course online.

Your certification does not expire and is accepted around the globe. If you have been inactive for over a year, I recommend a refresher course, that takes one day and costs $60 per person.

Course fees listed below include all training materials, equipment rental, air fills, pool access fees.

Private Course

You will be the only person in your class and all academics, pool and open water sessions will be scheduled at the most convenient time for you. All necessary scuba equipment including mask, snorkel and fins will be provided for your class free of charge. Minimum duration of this course is 3 days. Cost is $450.

Semi-Private Course

Semi-private course is a great way to save some money, bring a friend or two and still choose your own schedule for this class. I like to add an extra pool session in this case to make sure everyone gets enough practice time and minimum course duration is four days. As with the private course all equipment will be provided for the duration of your scuba course free of charge. Cost is $350 per person.

Public Courses

Public courses are scheduled by Underwater Dynamics every month, course duration is one week and the cost is $275. Students are asked to provide their own personal snorkeling gear such as mask, snorkel and fins. Wide range of snorkeling gear is available for purchase at the store.

Specialty Courses

In addition to Open Water Scuba Diver course, I teach many different specialty scuba courses. Specialty scuba courses are scheduled on as-needed basis and cost depends on number of dives, complexity and equipment necessary. Please contact me for more information or to schedule your course.

Advanced Diver and Master Diver Development Program

SDI Advanced Diver Development program requires diver to have total of twenty five (25) dives and be certified in four different specialties, with Deep and Navigation being two of them. Master Diver is the highest non professional diver certification and requires fifty (50) logged dives, four specialties, including Deep and Navigation and a Rescue Diver certification.
